The Queens Birthday Celebration

Activities for Seniors | By Debbie Davison
The British Queen Elizabeth will be celebrating her 95th birthday this June 14th.

A lot of people especially in Aged Care have a deep admiration for the Queen and the Royal family, this makes it a great time to reminisce and celebrate everything they love about their beloved Queen.

Activity Ideas on the Queens Birthday

Art and craft could be done leading up to the day:

Hold a High Tea Luncheon
Lunch or afternoon tea could be served on beautifully decorated tables with tiered plates covered in cakes, sandwiches and other finger foods. Tea and coffee could be served in beautiful teacups from lovely teapots and china milk jugs.

Movie Time
Watch some old footage of Queen Elizabeth and finish up with a movie in the afternoon. We recommend "The Queen" starring Helen Mirren or "A Royal Night Out" a movie about a young Elizabeth and her sister Margaret.

It should be a very enjoyable afternoon reminiscing about our Queen and celebrating her birthday.
